ABOUT

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, I’m Kevin! I’m an actor, writer, director, and multi-skilled filmmaker. I’ve been working with cameras for a decade.

I bought my first ‘proper’ camera in Manhattan back in 2014. There was an issue with my flight from Iceland to NYC and I ended up being re-routed through Boston. The airline gave me compensation, in cash, and I took it straight to Best Buy and bought a Canon 600D. Too many cameras later, I’ve shot videos and photographs for the likes of BBC Scotland, the Citizens Theatre and STV.

I’ve been working in film and television for over 15 years, starting out as an extra on a BBC sketch show in 2007. Since then, I’ve written episodes of continuing drama River City, directed pilots for BBC Scotland, and my short films have screened at festivals across the world, including the BAFTA-qualifying BFI Flare LGBTQ+ Film Festival.

As an actor, I recently completed my training at New College Lanarkshire and I have appeared in a variety of short films, commercials and feature films, including This Life of Mine which opened the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes 2024.

THE STUDIO

My headshot sessions take place at my studio in the east end of Glasgow. The studio is only a five-minute walk from Bridgeton train station. There is also free on-street parking available.

I mostly use continuous, artificial light, but I have the option to shoot with daylight too.

I tend to shoot on black, white or grey backgrounds, as I find these have the most longevity. However, I have a number of backdrop options available, and I will select backdrops which compliment or contrast your outfit selection.
